Crisis of water has hit villages of Odisha. A water tank of 40 thousand liter capacity was constructed by Rural Water Supply Section and Sanitation Project at Guderpali of Gaisilet block in dist Bargarh. But still people are facing difficulties due to shortage of water. This tank is defunct since a long time. People are waiting for its functioning.
Guderpali having a population of 2000 people facing water crisis today. The bore-wells are only source of water for the villagers now. There too long queue for long time is found for a bucket of water. Squabble in females for water is a familiar site there.
Now people are questioning, why the water tank has been built? What is its purpose? And why the Rural Water Supply Section, Gaisilet is knowingly silent o this matter?
