“Emphasis on the Recognition of Unrecognized Languages”

International Mother Language Day will be celebrated at Bargarh on 21st February jointly by Kosali Kriyanusthan Committee and Campaign for Language Equality and Rights (CLEAR). Language activist from different states like Dr Joga Singh (Punjabi), Dr Deepak Pawar (Marathi), Senthil Nathan (Tamil), Anand Guru (Kannada), Siddhabrata Das (Bangla), Yogesh R (Badugu), Kundan Amitabh (Angika), etc will join in the national level language fest. Apart from this, many cultural, literary, and social organizations and renowned personalities of the host state will participate in the language extravaganza. Political leaders from all parties of the district have been invited to join the celebration. This year’s celebration of International Mother Language Day will be marked with the release of “Bargarh Demands of Language Rights” emphasizing the demands of inclusion of 38 languages recommended by Sitakanta Mohapatra Committee.
