In a press release Aazhi Senthilnathan, the General Secretary, CLEAR (Campaign for Language Equality and Rights) demands on behalf of CLEAR, Campaign for Language Equality and Rights, a civil society organization advocating the rights of mother tongues in India.
He regret that the NEP draft proposal 2019 has been issued only in English and Hindi languages. This amounts to keeping it beyond the access of an overwhelming majority of the citizens of India. And he request the ministry to issue the respective report in all scheduled languages and give at least two months time for suggestions after it is issued.
CLEAR wants to comment on both NEP in general and the language policies for the education system in India as envisioned in the draft particular, CLEAR stands for language equality and rights to all the languages in India.
