“Learn as many languages as possible; it is good. But don’t leave mother tongue”

Yogesh Raj Kadasoley, Badugu speaker from Nilgiri region participated in the International Mother Languae Day at Bargarh and says, “We know cow’s milk gives energy. But Desi cow milk gives more energy. Anyhow, does they equal to Mother’s milk? Mother tongue is like one’s eye. You might see that those who learn in English medium doesn’t speak either their tongue or English without grammatical mistakes, when compared to those who learn in their own mother tongue, at least in initial stages. Thus you can understand the mother tongues important.
Learn as many languages as possible; it is good. But don’t leave mother tongue. Because even if you learn through other language you absorb the matter only through your mother tongue. So it is the mother tongue which teaches you basically.
