Farmer named Jubraj Seth (55) of Deshpatharla village under DeshBhatli panchayat of Bheden block has committed suicide on 26th August at his dried field.
The family of Jubraj Seth comprises 2 daughters and son. All are married. The paddy field is the only source of income of farmer Jubraj. This area is known as Hirakud command area and irrigated area. But farm lands planted with paddy are drying. The canal water is not in supply. Apart from that debt with loan amounting more than one and half lakh was in pressure.
As per the sources, Jubraj left home on 25th and his dead body was found at his paddy field on 26th morning. Police has seized the dead body.
Last year more than 30 farmers committed suicide in Bargarh district alone.
